about me
I was born and raised in Washington heights by a single mother of 2. Growing up I watched my mother go to the gym and stay physically active every chance she had. She used to take me with her on her long walks and at home eating unhealthy was never an option. My mother instilled in me the importance of what it meant to be healthy. Throughout my whole childhood I was into sports and extremely active. When I lost my mother to ovarian cancer my entire life came crashing down. I became very unhealthy those first two years of her departure. One day , I woke up and knew I had to make some changes. I decided to take the first step by signing up at a gym and I made sure to attended every day. It wasn’t easy. In fact, there were many days I wanted to quit. I was overweight and out of shape. BUT! I stayed consistent and I started to see results. I felt good about myself. I felt GREAT! Years later I found a my new love.....CROSSFIT! This sport was a life changer for me. I became obsessed with it. I started to do things I thought I never would do. I hit personal records, improved my gymnastics, lifted heavy , the list went on and on. Fitness changed my life. It has helped me with not only my physical health but also my mental health. At some point I knew this is what I wanted to do in life. I began doing research, obtaining certifications, asking questions until I perfected my craft. I decided to quit my job to make this a passions a full time job. It has been 7 years since I started this journey and it has been the best 7 years of my life. I have impacted so many lives guiding clients with their nutrition, and most importantly helping them with their mental health as well.
My passion is to continue to give adults and our youth what fitness has given me. A healthy life that makes us strong. I truly believe that by teaching the benefits of fitness as it relates to you , it will encourage the life change you never knew you needed.
